Snapchat adapts Stories for groups

Snapchat is bringing groups to stories. The Story feature, which lets you take a collection of photos and videos, jazz them up with text and graphics, and send them out to specific friends for a 24-hour period, added a dose of cooperation on Tuesday.  A new feature, custom Stories, will allow collaboration with friends and family for group stories, which Snapchat parent Snap says is "perfect for a trip, a birthday party, or those new baby Snaps for family members across the country."

Bitcoin has made the top 5 Google search requests Monday, according to data from Google Trends. The results from the US indicate that ‘Bitcoin’ received over 200,000 searches, making it the fifth most popular term. Ethereum made the top 20 results, coming in at number 18.

Men diagnosed with lung cancer had a nine-fold increased risk of suicides, the highest compared to breast, prostate, colorectal cancer, researchers say. The study showed the overall suicide rate in patients with any kind of cancer, compared to the general population, was 60 per cent higher.

Nigeria War Against Ebola Risk of entry into the country at Borders

A working group has been set up to assess the risk Ebola virus disease poses to Nigeria, in the wake of the confirmed outbreak of the disease in the Democratic Republic of Congo this month. The Ebola Preparedness Working Group is to coordinate "immediate risk assessment of the situation in the DRC," the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has said. University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston scientists have unlocked mysteries of how the Ebola virus hampers the body’s natural defenses to speed the rate of infection and its accompanying lethal disease, according to a news report in PLOS Pathogens. The study was conducted in collaboration with the University of Washington and The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases. Specifically, the researchers found that the Ebola virus binds directly to white blood cells (critical to the immune system) leading to their death.
