Technology: Google is trying to do to Facebook what Facebook did to Snap—by aping some of its features

Google recently updated the "Feed" portion of its mobile app, which now looks more like Facebook's News Feed. The company also rolled out "SOS' tools" to help users in crisis, as does Facebook's Safety mode.

Tech: 1 Reason the Apple Inc. iPhone 9 Will Be Truly Special

Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL) has yet to announce this year's iPhone models, but there have already been a couple of leaks about Apple's 2018 iPhone models (or, as I'll refer to them, the iPhone 9 series). One report from Nikkei claims that Apple is planning to launch three iPhone models in 2018, all of which will sport organic light-emitting diode (OLED) displays. Another report, this time from The Bell, claims that Apple is planning to launch 5.28-inch and 6.46-inch iPhone models in 2018.

Tech: Apple invests $2.70 billion in LG for OLED display

SAN FRANCISCO: Samsung may soon not be the only supplier of OLED displays for Apple as the Cupertino-based tech company has reportedly invested $2.70 billion in LG for the production of OLED panels for its iPhones.  According to a report in The Investor on Sunday, Apple will reportedly make the investment as advance payment for the planned panel supplies from the Korean display maker.

Tech: Apple paid Nokia $2 billion as part lawsuit settlement

SAN FRANCISCO: A After a patents row that escalated between Nokia and Apple in December last year and was settled in May, Nokia has received a $2 billion upfront cash payment from Cupertino-based tech company as part of the settlement terms.  According to a report in TechCrunch on Friday, Nokia will not get $2 billion every quarter -- this was non-recurring catch-up revenue and Nokia hasn't said what it plans to do with all this cash.

News: DONALD TRUMP IS A TERRIBLE PRESIDENT, ACCORDING TO HIS OWN TWEETS ABOUT OBAMA

Donald Trump is a terrible president, and one of his own worst critics—at least, according to his own analysis of former President Barack Obama. If Obama-era Donald Trump could offer his criticisms on the current White House administration, beleaguered by internal disorder and a stalled agenda, via some sort of Twitter time machine—they probably wouldn’t sound too pretty. That historic version of the commander-in-chief would decry his own excuses for being unable to pass any major legislation in six months, saying it’s "BS since he had full control" in both Houses; just as he said about Obama.
