News: Nigerian man files lawsuit to compel senate to investigate President Buhari’s health status

As reported via: nigerianeye.com A Nigerian man, Toyin Dawodu, has filed a lawsuit at the Federal High Court in Abuja, to compel the Senate to constitute a medical panel to investigate President Buhari's true state of health as well as determine if he is medically fit to continue as President of Nigeria. In a statement dated June 28th, Dawodu said that there have been reports in some section of the media that President Buhari is in such a bad state that even his wife is not allowed to see him.

Yam Export: AFAN Wants Ailing Yam Conditioning Centres Revived The All Farmers Association of Nigeria (AFAN) on Friday advised the Federal Government to revive ailing yam conditioning centres and establish some in all yam-producing communities nationwide. Nigeria issues 32 Billion Naira debt to tighten liquidity. Nigeria's central bank sold 31.94 billion naira ($104.76 million) in treasury bills on Friday in a bid to tighten liquidity in the money market while overnight lending rate fell. Traders said the bank sold 31.52 billion naira of 349-day treasury bill at 18.59 percent and 440 million naira of 160-day treasury bill at 17.98 percent at an auction on Friday.

Dollar extends fall as bets on hawkish European policy heat up

The U.S. dollar touched its lowest level against the euro in a year on Wednesday after hawkish comments from the head of the Bank of England added to speculation that monetary policy in Europe was turning hawkish. The dollar also was weaker in the wake of a decision on Tuesday to delay a U.S. Senate vote on a bill to repeal and replace Democratic former President Barack Obama's 2010 healthcare law. The euro extended the prior session's rally against the dollar, which had sent it to its strongest one-day percentage gain against the greenback in more than a year.
