Roots 97.1FM celebrated one year anniversary, It all began as a passion then thoughts, it became a dream & aspiration and further evolve to vision and desire to it and now what seem like a dream has turned reality.

Inspite of the challenges and confrontation, detours on the way, success was recorded at last; the legend Bob Marley once said in one of his numerous quote "Road of life is rocky and you may stumble too..."  Kunle Onime put his vision to reality!

It was celebration of One Year Anniversary of Roots 97.1FM,  the first Nigeria Reggae Radio Station, commercial broadcasting 19th August 2020. It was a day of Joy, Fun, Laughter, memoir and gratitude as the M.D. - Kunle Onime & Fisayo Ajibola -General Manager could not hold their excitement as well as member of staff, past & present. Refreshments were not left out and musical entertainment of sweet #reggae melodies by DJ100%Ceasar.

The one year anniversary came with gift items giveaway ranging from brand new Generator Set, Motor Cycle  (Okada), One plot of land, and other consolation prizes from Food Concept Pioneer makers of YumYum Sausage roll & Butterfield Bread; to qualify for these giveaway , interested persons must call in to answer to give 2 or more answers to questions raised.
