President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday
participated at the Commonwealth Business Forum;
at the event, he made controversy statement which have drawn reactions from social media and a cross section of Nigerians some whom expressed disappointment or outrage.
During his presentation which was followed almost immediately by Q & A session. President M. Buhari responded to one of the questions thrown at him, he said
"We have a very young population; our population is estimated conservatively to be 180 million. More than 60 per cent of the population is below the age of 30. A lot of them have not been to school and they are claiming that Nigeria has been an oil producing country, therefore they should sit and do nothing and get housing, healthcare and education free.”This representation didn't go down well with some youth as they took to social media to express their view

#LazyNigerianYouths I'm a Nigerian youth with my own carpentry business as my side hustle, I challenge @MBuhari and his children to show me their hustle aside spending govt money. Nigerian youths are not lazy and uneducated— Mazi Ejiogu (@Mazi_Ejiogu) April 19, 2018
