How to tell if someone blocked you on Snapchat after the new update

If you reckon you've been blocked, there are a few simple tricks to work out whether your hunch is correct or not

t's tough to please everyone, so you might one day find yourself on the receiving end of a Snapchat block.

If a person blocks you, you won't be able to view your Story, or send you Snaps and Chats.

The most obvious way to find out if someone has blocked you is if they suddenly disappear from your Snapchat friends list.

By blocking you, they'll disappear from your app completely, so it's a quick way to check if you've been blocked.
You can also try searching the person's Snapchat username in your Snapchat app search bar.

If their profile doesn't appear, it probably means they've blocked you.

The only exception to these tests would be if the person has completely deleted their account.

If that's happened, it could appear like they've blocked you, but they might not have.

An easy way to check is by searching the person's username on another person's Snapchat app.

If the person appears on their app but not yours, it almost certainly means you've been blocked.

This trick will work before and after the latest Snapchat update – a controversial redesign that sparked a petition signed by more than a million people asking for the new design to be scrapped.

The controversial update shows no sign of being killed however, with Snapchat hoping users simply get used to the new design.

In a statement sent to The Sun, a Snapchat spokesperson said: "Updates as big as this one can take a little getting used to, but we hope the community will enjoy it once they settle in." the sun uk
