Jason Porras, 23, of Lawrenceville, faces a charge of enticing a child for indecent purposes, according to Fulton County jail records. He was released from jail Dec. 2 on a $35,000 bond.
The two 15-year-old girls were at Marlow’s Tavern at the Avalon in Alpharetta on July 6 when police say Porras pulled out his phone and located them using the Snapchat app, according to the police report. Snapchat is a mobile application that allows users to communicate via text messages and videos. The app also has an “Add Nearby” feature, which lets users befriend someone near their location.
Not long after the girls left the restaurant, police said Porras messaged them in the app, told them where he worked, offered to have sex with them in exchange for money and sent them explicit pictures.
The girls deleted the messages thinking Porras would stop contacting them.
But he didn’t, police said.
When they returned for lunch at the same restaurant Aug. 13, their parents told police Porras walked by their table, stared at the girls and sent them a message asking how they liked their food.
The girls then told their parents about Porras, who was eventually arrested Nov. 29.
He has since been fired from Marlow’s Tavern, Channel 2 Action News reported.
